Helping students create missional communities in Academic Departments (MCADs)

Career & Major - Using the ESS social platform and learning management system, the coalition of ministries and churches are creating a process for high schools students to identify their purpose and major in a Faith at Work context. Then, before and during college they can connect with a faith community in their academic department.

During college students learn to multiply disciples and impact university culture in their particular fiend of study, and be prepared to create similar communities in their future companies upon graduation. Marketplace ministries, professional societies, and Christian professors provide Faith at Work coaching and marketplace preparation 

Internships and Employment - ESS is creating the NextLead for-profit entity to help students find internships and jobs in a process similar to "Indeed".  This will also make ESS self-sustaining.

Transition to the Marketplace: The ESS social platform is beginning to connect students to marketplace mentors in the city of their first job.  These come in a variety of forms including workplace ministries and company employee resource groups (ERGs).  See ESS Marketplace Ministries

Every single year roughly 70% of youth group grads fall away from the faith because of what happens during the first days on campus.  We lose the potential they have to transform universities and the marketplace.

But now, churches are reversing this by connecting students to miniseries, churches and other incoming Christian friends many months before college, and it's being scaled nationally.

A broad coalition of national Ministries and churches are part of this movement to help every student be prepared to know their career purpose and multiply disciples in ESS groups for their Academic Department and Dorms. They learn to change culture on the campus then the workplace. Now we are building a transition to the marketplace and engaging with every Marketplace Ministry since studies indicate that 35% to 59% don't find fellowship in their new city.
