The Columbus and OSU Plan
Columbus and OSU have been selected to pilot the new ESS Mobile App and impact the church and university community as a national example of spawning freshmen revivals and reversing the 70% college faith drop-off. The dates are:
-
Now thru Mar 27 - Columbus & OSU Focus Groups. Engage the community with user experience testing of the new Mobile App prior to national launch. This includes high school students, college ministries, college students, churches, and parents.
-
Starting Mar 27 - Columbus launch. Reaching out to all Columbus churches, youth organizations, and Christian schools in greater Columbus to connect with college ministries and college churches.
-
May 1 - Begin national awareness of Every Student Sent
-
Summer – Help freshmen engage with ministries and churches to be part of outreach to other incoming freshmen. We will also be pulling students into a special ESS group for The Retreat
Why are we losing 70% of our students in the transition to college when this can be the most fruitful time of their lives?
Revival is hitting universities around the country. The most fertile ground is to reach brand new freshmen in the Fall. This is why students need to be connected many months in advance!

Josh McDowell - Josh McDowell Ministry
“When Christian college freshmen are alone, their faith rarely survives in today’s college environment. The good news is that when they’re connected in advance to campus ministries, churches, and Christian friends, they not only survive, but thrive and impact their classmates. Every Student Sent will help parents, churches, and ministries to turn the tide so this generation can now become the leaders of tomorrow.” See Josh's recent call to action and the importance of the first 72 hours on campus.
